Pre-Teen

Ministry for kids in 5th & 6th grades

It’s easy to be “hearers” of the Word and not “doers.” However, God calls us to take action and not be stagnant in our faith. Our mission for 5th and 6th graders is to ignite a fire that motivates, drives, and consumes their lives. Ministry is more than just “head knowledge.” It’s taking what we learn and impacting our schools, communities, and world.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Sunday mornings at 11:00am preteens meet downstairs in the Preteen Auditorium and after a brief opening session, they will be dismissed to their small group class. Geyer Preteens uses The Gospel Project for Students to engage in the study of God's Word.

Wednesday evenings are an exciting time for preteens. Ignite Teams offer ministry training and allow preteens to be active in our community through mission events. Ignite Teams meet each Wednesday during the school year from 6:00pm – 6:30pm. Ignite Teams consist of several different ministry teams in which preteens can be involved. Teams include Creative Ministries, Drama, Praise Band/Vocals, Stage/Set, and Leadership. Preteens involved in Ignite Teams also have the opportunity to go on a mission trip during the summer.

Ignite is a time of worship for all 5th and 6th graders. Ignite meets each Wednesday during the school year from 6:30pm – 7:45pm. Ignite meets in the Preteen Auditorium for live worship, fun large group interactive games, and a biblical message focused around issues facing their generation. The best thing is everyone is welcome…so bring your friends!
