The Joy Project

Four ways to spread hope and joy!

This year, The Joy Project includes four unique ways you can spread joy and the hope of the Gospel throughout Central Arkansas and around the world!

Christmas Presents to the Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home in Monticello

Beginning November 4, the Children’s Home trees will be in the Main Lobby and upstairs outside The Venue. Stop by, sign out a name, and purchase gifts to bless that child this Christmas season. All gifts are due at church no later than November 25.

Christmas Shoeboxes Through Operation Christmas Child

Our preschool and children’s ministries have already started collecting items to help fill Christmas Shoeboxes that will be distributed overseas through Samaritan’s Purse. Join us in collecting items for the shoeboxes or providing a monetary donation to helping with shipping costs ($9 per box to ship). Items to be collected include:

Non-Liquid Hygiene Items (toothbrushes, bar soap, combs, washcloths, etc.)

Accessories (socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, watches, etc.)

Small Toys (stuffed animals, cars, balls, jump ropes, dolls, etc.)

School Supplies (pens, pencils, sharpeners, crayons, notebooks, etc.)

All donations should be brought to the Children’s Lobby by November 7.

Toy and Coat Drive

Our toy and coat drive will benefit The Mercy Church of Little Rock and Fordyce Community Baptist Church in Fordyce. Toys and coats will be distributed to children and families in need, but we need your help in providing new toys and new coats. You may drop off your donations in the metal bins in the East or West Hallway by December 9.

Items to be collected include:

Coats, Hats, Gloves, Sports Balls, Children’s Books, Art & Craft Supplies, Nerf Toys, Board Games, Coloring Books, Puzzles, Hot Wheels/Matchbox Cars, Dolls

Second Chance Ranch

This year we hope to provide new kitchen supplies for the 6 homes at Second Chance Ranch. Second Chance Ranch is a residential facility for children in transition and orphan care, and they are desperate need of kitchen items. Monetary donations only please, and all donations should be notated “Second Chance Ranch Kitchen” and can be given through the offering, online, or by mail. All donations are due December 7.
